I was shopping for a new video card in Best Buy today, hoping they would have a random good deal, which of course they didn't. I did hear a salesman talking to consumers, a elderly married couple. The guy simply wanted a video card with a DVI port, however didn't know if he had an AGP port on his motherboard or not. So the Best Buy salesman proceeds to tell the customer that he should get a PCI card just to be safe, however PCI cards are not nor have they ever been manufactured with DVI ports. This is completely false of course. What he meant to say is that Best Buy doesn't sell PCI cards with DVI outputs, hahaha. Continuing on, the salesman recommends that the elderly couple should buy a new computer with an AGP slot, that way they would be able to have DVI outputs. The salesman tried to sell them on a new computer, and then recommended once they get the computer to come back and get a new, better graphics card with DVI outputs. Guess which one he recommended? A $155 BFG GeForce FX 5500 OC, hahahaha. I know it's not the best card, but why in the freaking world would two old people need a $155 overclocked FX 5500? So the couple came in expecting to purchase a $60-$70 PCI card, however left with the feeling that they might need to spend $100's when they can just order a $50 card off newegg. BEST BUY SUCKS!!!!!

I love going into computer retail stores and asking questions like... "How much HD space can my RAM have?", or "If I get a 200 Meg hard drive, will I be able to watch DVD's better?"

I do that all the time. I was in Circuitcity last week with a friend picking up a PS2 game and we vertured over to the PC section. I love messin' with those salesman. I ask all kinds of NOOB questions just to see what kinda answers they give me...

LOL - My friend seriously asked a female sales person in the PC department once, "Um yeah, i'm looking to buy a new PC can you help me find one." She says, "Sure, what are you looking to do with this PC, knowing that will help me find the right PC for you." He looks at her straight and serious and says, "well, nothing major, just check email and watch porno and Sh!t!"

The girl was stunned for a second, smiled and showed him the most expensive SONY VAIO they had. With a huge 20.1 LCD. LOL

Best Buy only sucks if you are uneducated and dont shop around on the internet. Otherwise, you can get some pretty darn good deals there if you know what you are doing.

I should ask if a PC comes with free porn, and depending on the answer, ask for weird types of porn.

Actually, it would be more funny for someone else to do that, and record it.

Or ask for a computer which will run a game that needs a 486 because my current PC is too slow for the game, and when they go tell me any PC i will just go BULL$HIT THAT ISNT 486GHZ

But me being a kid, me and my friend were ALONE in the PC section with 15-20 salesmen in their. Not a single one jumped on me.

Yet, when i go with a parent, the salesmen line up.

And I have went up and told customers before that the salesmen are bull$hitting and told em cheaper places lol.
