WTF where are you people getting your awesome down speeds?
I know in apple valley soon they are getting fiber optics. Some of these people obviously live in fiber optic areas already. The one where I used to live was going to be 15mbps down and 2mbps up.

It annoys me that I'm here in downtown seattle and dont have access to fiber optics.

You're not getting 20mbytes/sec your getting 20mbits/sec

Two completely different things. Remember, there are 8 bits to a byte. So divide 20 by 8 and you get 2.5......voila, there's your 2500kb/sec transfer rate.

well still 20mbits/sec is **** fast, and the comcast commercial says speeds up to 8 megabits per second, so i think iim getting more than what i pay for, and im pretty sure we pay around $45 a month for it.

check if it's avaible in your area:

Here is mine on fiber. I still own the upload speed :p

Nice speed, you have Cox 15Mbps HSI?

Law, I gotta admit that I don't understand your question. But I'll admit, at least, that my service provider is comcast and I live in southern jersey. does that answer your question?

Yea I was wondering if it was Cox or Comcast, because Cox High Speed Internet offer 15 Mbps and I haven't heard Comcast offering that speed in my area yet.
