YouTube - Student Tasered At Kerry Speech: Longer Version this is pretty clear. all they ask is for him to ask the question. which he does. then they cut the mic and grab him.
lol how does that video prove anything? it starts after he's already done speaking
what's relevant is what happened in the video. he may have been completely out of line, but what the cops did was wrong and illegal. they had no reason to use physical restraint to get him to leave. not once did that ask him to leave.... even your university president admits that they lines of communication were broken down or something to that extent. it's obvious that instead of peacefully asking him to leave or sit down, they stepped right up to physical restraint. it's a clear violation if the law./It's amazing how the videos don't show anything before a few seconds before he gets grabbed, of course you wouldn't be able to hear the police asking him to leave or calm down because they are not shouting or speaking into a microphone. I had friend who were at the event, you're basing your assumptions on what you heard on the news, stories that only supported the student. Of course they wouldn't give you any evidence to the contrary. Scandal makes for better reporting, but you'd know that.

dude, i'm not arguing about what happened AFTER he was restrained. it's the issue that he was restrained in the first place that is at hand here. at no point did he act out to warrant the initial restraint he received. there is no way you can say he refused to leave because the police officers don't ask him to leave.Public property is still owned by the government, police officers are representatives of the government. I was waiting for you to bring that up so I could dispel you other argument about the cops not being able to act. Either way the student was out of line and brought it upon himself. Was tasering him necessary? Maybe not, but if he had flailed out and hurt a bystander or rushed the stage people would be saying the cops didn't do enough. I'd like to hear your solution, or what you would have done with this student when he refused to leave the closed forum. (I realize the forum wasn't closed, but the question asking section was closed to people who didn't sign up and have a ticket). Anyway, I'm done talking about this topic. I'll let you guys continue to cry police brutality and talk about how the student was so innocent.
some lady's opinion has what to do with the law exactly? besides, she says it as he's resisting and acting like a jack@$$, something we have the same viewpoint on. . . . . but keep trying, please.LoL! Even the lady filming says "He's an idiot"
That video just helped my point of view more than it helped your own.
I watched that longer video you posted. He said blow job before the cops touched him. Therefore they had every reason to remove him. At 1:36, then his mic was cut off. "Thanks for cutting me off" is what he says right after it.
that's speculation. did you ask the sound guy why he cut the mic? no, i didn't think so. either way, they tried to get him to leave by using physical force, which was illegal at that point. The whole point of this is that he was originally removed for cursing. They cut his mic and tried to get him to leave. He broke the rules of the forum and wasn't even invited.
