Synthetic Oils and Maybe Mods?

Pick up a k&N drop in air filter, it should help a bit. I use Royal Purple, I started using it in car and now I can't stop. Just the switching to royal purple and a drop in air filter in my 06 xterra I noticed a major difference in pickup when accelerating. I don't think the oil will really help in mpgs that much but the air filter for sure will plus the K&N drop in air filters have like a lifetime warranty.

These "add ons" sorta due increase mpg. As they increase hp abit, via better air flow and less parasitic (sp) hp losses, you can get the same speed at lower rpm.

How would you get the same speed at lower rpm? Gear ratios and everything are unchanged. The only thing it is going to change is acceleration.

That goes with any power changing modification. Speeds doesn't change, only acceleration. ;)
