There is a vaio drivers available for sure but you try finding one that works or that is linked correctly.

Not so, some times it's fine to find your model but the drivers are not correct (wireless cards are a big one for this) or you can't find your model at all.

Wow...

This bloatware stuff though... cant it be simply removed? And if it is on a desktop and not a laptop, can't you just reformat the HD and boot up whatever os you want to get rid of the bloatware from the start?

But yikes... 50 bucks to get RID of stuff... not very appealing.

:) I believe they learned their lesson and got rid of the fee charging, but the simple fact someone thought it was a good idea and then someone else gave the go ahead on it, suggests SOME but not all at Sony are loosing touch.

It was part of the package when someone chose to buy a new laptop of certain models and packages...they HAD the option to pay the fee to have the bloatware removed or not installed at time of purchase of new laptop.

So, average person could have removed it, but was made as a chargeable option by some people at Sony.

What a con. It probably saves them money, and they charge you for saveing them money . That's con of the century.
