I got 44th place 2 weeks ago but I just didn't feel it in me. Tonight I felt great...just didn't have what it took I suppose. But for 11,000 people! I'm a happy guy going to sleep :)

do u just play the free rolls? the money v amount of players seems very bad. u need to get lucky quite a few times.

i play on PacificPoker (another client) but i cant play for real money as i dont have a credit card and i have no intention of getting a credit card because i dont like them.

Wow, that's still a good job and you should be proud of yourself. I don't think I have the patience to play online poker in a tournament of 11,000 people.

You'll find this very interesting then. A while ago, I opened up an account on Party Poker, I played the free tournaments, etc etc. So, I wanted it to get more interesting. I entered my credit card info and deposited $50. While I was playing with this money, I received an email stating "We have been trying to contact you regarding your Account, etc etc". So, I stopped playing and then called them. It seemed that they wanted to obtain a photocopy of my ID because someone created a username "almost like my own", with the SAME address, SAME credit card info and SAME real name. The only difference was the email address and the bank info for depositing purposes. So, Party Poker caught on to this right away and "locked" both accounts. (I only quote locked because they let me play with the rest of my current balance.... of course...lol). So, they locked both accounts until they could have a copy of my drivers license mailed or faxed to them along with which account was real. After wiping my own tears from laughing so hard on the phone, I reminded the lady on the phone why NOT to hold her breath. Anyway, so that was how EASY it was for someone to obtain this kind of information. Crazy, eh?

So yea, I created a new account with a fake name etc etc. I'm not planning on depositing money EVER to one of these places. I do it just for fun. If I ever get to 1-10 place, I'll just have the biggest grin on my face knowing that I'm getting better and better at the game. I'll just accept the fact the I choose to forfit the small winnings.

My friends and I hold Hold 'Em games every once in a while and we'll all throw in some money. This and a casino are the only times I'll play for real money.
I've been doing a lot of research on a new business venture I'm into now, so having Party Poker in the background is typical :)

i don't really get it...

so it WASN'T party poker that had contacted you? lol.. i understand that someone tried to scam you.. not sure who.. did you end up sending in your license? lol.. i still donno why you were wiping your own tears laughing...

No, It was Party Poker that had contacted me. I talked to several supervisors at different times confirming this. No, I never gave them a copy of my license. The fact that they asked me to is why I was laughing so hard. No way in **** I'm going to photocopy my license to re-activate a REAL money account when it was already so easy for someone to obtain all my credit card info in the first place.
