I was looking for a good/cheap place to buy music and accidentaly one of my friends mentioned this site. The site is russian(i don't know how my friend found it cuz he is italian) and they sell music for very cheap (50 bucks for a Gig of music). So i was wondering if people like me form USA can use it? In the Legal Info it says "All the materials in the MediaServices projects are available for distribution through Internet according to license # LS-3Ì-03-79 of the Russian Multimedia and Internet Society. Under the license terms, MediaServices pays license fees for all the materials subject to the Law of the Russian Federation "On Copyright and Related Rights". All the materials are available solely for personal use and must not be used for further distribution, resale or broadcasting.

Users are responsible for any usage and distribution of all materials received from AllOFMP3.com. This responsibility depends on the local legislation of each user's country of residence. AllOFMP3.com's Administration does not keep up with the laws of different countries and is not responsible the actions of non-Russian users."

I just want to find out if I can use it cuz I don't want to get a letter from riaa saying a have to pay a fine for music that I actually bought.

If you read it carefully....it's plain. Legal in USSR..but not other countries....so it would NOT be legal if your in the USA or other countries that have copywrite laws. After searching through that site..it seams to me they are a simple ripper for MP3's on the net.

They get these files by "Whatever" means (Kazza, newsgroups, WinMX...ect).....and offer them to you at a price. According to them.. which would lead me to...they are pirateing MP3's from the net..and selling them to you at a reduced cost.

Falls into the same RIAA category as your still liable...whether you pirate it yourself......or they do it for you and you pay them for it...it's still pirated music.
i was just about to say that, i bet they are getting these files from bittorrent or something and them selling them for profit, dont waste your time on sites like those.

i still call it U.S.S.R too , any way if u want music get it for free off shareware programs.

Im pretty sure that U.S.S.R stands for ''Union of Soviet Socialist Republics''

I am not sure about this, but I am going to comment on the Russian. The U.S.S.R broke up in the 80s after the fall of communism. It is not the U.S.S.R anymore, it is simply the Soviet Union.

This site was on TechTV, its legit and a good place to get music they said. They did warn however, that it only proclaims to be leagal in Russia. I would think that the fines would be less if you got caught dl'ing from this kinda site than other P2P to who we wont mention.
