Have you tried guessing the password? Using things like password, admin, or administrator?

The seller may have just forgotten to send you the password, and isn't on their computer very often.

At least you got the item. When I saw the title, I thought you were going to be telling us that you never got the item, or the sale described one item, and you got something totally different.

First off, this is a easy fix. So, take deep breathes, count to five, and relax.

Alright, now....what OS does it have on it or is it a BIOS password?

click on the Downloads page on the left hand side and download the Pro version (18mb) and burn to a cd. This is what I use to reset Windows passwords/delete accounts when I need to. I've never tried it for BIOS passwords. It will detect them but I've never tried to delete them.

It's freeware, how can it be stolen?

Yup, sounds like its a stolen laptop. I know people who do that stuff around here.
