Okay so I live on a court, where everyone is pretty cool, except one neighbor. This guy moved in less than 2 years ago, and lives nextdoor to me. We've lived here almost 10 years. All lots were filled after him.
My mom runs her own business out of the house. She has a decent sized office attached to the house that connects to the driveway and is adjacent to the garage. Anyways, this idiot next door build his house with his bedrooms right on top of the driveway, so he hears and sees all the commotion below. But anyways, he has been issuing complaints to the city for over a year now about us having 'to many cars' in the driveway/on the street.
Finally, the city cited us, because he complained to the counclemen individually and they sent over an agent a couple times to check it out. Turns out we obey the traffic law, becasue we allotted for parking of the cars, however, we dont follow some law about having too many employees, and Mr. "B" next door didnt even know that.
So about a month ago we went to the Varience Board to get a varience to allow us to continue the Accounting firm, of which we employ my mom, my aunt a mile away, a couple stay at home moms, and a couple public school interns. Naperville law says we can only have 2 employees in the business. The board rules we wouldn't get a varience. Even after EVERY SINGLE neighbor on the street testified FOR us, except for him. All of which were here longer than him. He is the only one who has issues with anything.
Fine, so we have to move the business, but at least we had a couple months, because it will cost about $500,000 just to find a lot and knock down in this area for a new business.... and it's worse to rent. Well yesterday my moms watching TV, and sure enough, "B" is talking to the councle about not allowing a continuence for us, which would let us have time to move our business elsewhere, especially since tax-season is comming up ( my mom does over 2500 people/corps). Well, they ruled no. We can't conduct business here as of tomarrow now, and we have to find somewhere else to open it up.
All because of this j****** nextdoor. He calles the cops yesterday because he said my little brother banged on his window and flicked him off with his friends. My little brother can't even lift up his middle finger without lifting up his index, let alone no what it means. Also, that neighbor scares the **** out of him because whenever a stray basketball or hockey puck rolls up on his lawn or driveway, "B" deflats it and throws it in his garbage cans and walks inside. Anyways, the cops issued us a citation even though we did nothing, there were no footprints in the snow around his house either....
There is DEFINATELY going to be response to this, because I hate that ************. Is it illegal to hand out bumber stickers with name and address on them of someone else and have a slogan with it? Or could he do something about me just using that sport paint on my car with messages about him and stuff? He has cameras around his house, so I can't do anything like that, but my mom is crying like all the time now and there is like NO WHERE around here to build a busniess, expecially on such short notice before taxseason...
