I prefer the way the politics work in SG1. Complex, and always evolving.
Plus, SG1 just appeals more to me, because it's kinda based on our current culture.

Yhea SG1 has all them things but to me it seems to lack something that BSG provides in abundance I can't put my finger on it but it is the first time I have ever joined a off line Fan community that haverly involves in role-play.
