Yeah they're talking normal right wing economic policies and such, not extreme-right skinhead ****e Makes sense actually, the left make no attempt or argue with anyone about extreme right views because they're clearly absurd and moronic to 99.9% of people. So the argument holds up.

Or you could say what if they didn't say anything and just walked away? You'd get the other side gloating that *cleaaaarly* their opponents just had no answer and therefore they must be right, and a whole lot of the voting public would believe it. And why wouldn't they, especially with less extreme views that aren't so immediately wrong.

In the case of the views you're talking about; they're being presented as valid choices or ideas on the political debate floor, and if all you do is laugh then you're not putting up a very good counter-argument

But point is, people on reddit subs like /r/ukpolitics literally act like you are the antichrist if you say something even slightly right wing like, immigration should be properly managed e.g. targeting immigrants that fill our skills shortage. Yet clearly they know it's not that absurd if they are willing to spend so much time debating it.

Yet clearly they know it's not that absurd if they are willing to spend so much time debating it.

This is the stuff that drives me crazy- "Burns the Jews" or "lock up the gays" is NOT a right wing - it is left wing. NAZI= National socialist party= socialist is left. Conservative/right wing is all about: individual freedom and responsibility- stuff like: "you do your thing and I will do mine", "live and let live" - but don't expect me to help you financially- and no one gets "special compensation or help". True conservatism= Everyone is equal- no regard for race, sexual orientation, sex, etc. So, if you want to say right wing selfish idiots that don't want to pay taxes to help the poor - that would be accurate.

Don't get me wrong- both left and right wingers have crazy fanatics in them that twist stuff all around. No different than how some "Christians" are the most judgemental ,rigid people in the world. Yet, the founder of Christianity was Jesus who preached all about love, inclusion, understanding, and forgiveness.

I just want the proper affiliation assigned to the parties/groups to the actions and/or thought processes.
