My grandparents are the same. They are happy to let me sort software out but when it comes to hardware they just order replacements from Dell.

I have been waiting for Nvidia to release a tech demo for Kepler for a while. Well I just went on there website and they have announced one in the news section. But the *******s have made it for GTX690, with 'atleast' SLI GTX 670's reccomended ! *******s !

So my wife's BiL brought his son's computer to me to check out, said it wouldn't come on. After checking it out I told him I think the motherboard is pretty much dead (no POST, powers up from from switch/arcing the pins but won't shut down from either). Since it is a socket 754 with an AGP card I told him it would be best if we started fresh and just reuse what we could (ODD, Case, PSU). When he asked how much I told him the cheapest computer on Walmart's site was $300 but I could put one together for less than that (plan on providing the hard drive and other bits and pieces).

He immediately backpedaled and said he would talk with his brother to see what he could find for him. His brother is a manager of a Radio Shack and has screwed her BiL over so many times with computers and electronics it isn't even funny (selling him way out of date stuff for full price, etc.). I just told him to call me before he gave his brother any money so I could at least try to keep him from being ripped off.

The saddest part is her nephew plays some older games that require a graphics card. His brother will probably try to shove some P4 POS off on him... People make me crazy.

radioshack sells computer gear? though they only sold smartphones/accessories and cables for tvs nowadays..... LOL.

Today I found out a few of the animes I am into are done for, after only 20 episodes

I also added a second processor to my server, removed 256MB of ram, and added 1GB to it. Gotta love old cheap hardware.

Server now has 2 Pentium 3 1.4Ghz processors, 2x36Gb SCSI drives, and ~1.5GB of PC133 ECC RAM
I can actually tell a difference in the over-all browsing speed, and SQUID is finally working right because of the extra ram, at least, for the most part. Still has issues refreshing the cache when it should over night, but I blame my ISP.

Yes, my server is a router. I will soon have another server with 6, 120GB SCSI drives, 4GB of ram dual p3's, and some other old goodies, will make a NICE backup server. Plan on getting that this coming week, a 4 port eSATA PCI-X card, 4 external enclosures and 4 2TB drives, throw it all in a Raid5 array, and make it for network wide backups Not sure how I will afford the controller, or drives, but still. Least most this stuff is free for me right now

That said the Mercedes A class AMG is my most wanted car at the moment. 300Hp 4WD Hatchback for 20something grand, yes please I think it looks stunning.

I know americans arn't big on hatchbacks afaik. But over here in Europe, UK especially, cars like the Volkswagen Golf is what pretty much most 20 to 30 year olds drive if they can afford it. There wasn't really any great competition, but now.. with this.. Volkswagen have a problem !

A company in India owns both Jaguar and Land Rover. BMW owns Rolls Royce. Volkswagen owns Bently. And you are aware that Mercedes is a German car as well, right? (I thought you were implying that MB hatchback was a UK car giving the German VW a run for its money)
