My great grandmother was a member of the Nazi party. Not by choice, of course.

Yeah by and large 95% of the Nazi party in the late 30's/early 40's were just regular people who were only in it because... there were no other parties.

Today I came home for a bit to check on the house only to find my SSD decided to screw up while it was......off. Took me about 30 minutes then I had my machine back up but I was due for a format anyways.

I had a hiccup with mine a month back, refused to boot. Stuck it in my laptop, and W7 booted fine. Put it back in my desktop and was fine :-|

Well, there were resistance parties (well, groups), but if you joined one you would be treated the same as a Jew.

setup a mumble server (aka murmur).
as someone who has played with linux for maybe an hour tops, I feel great lol.
maybe its because I am using command line only, but learning curve felt steep.

You'd be treated a lot worse than a Jew (at that point, anyway - obviously with the concentration camps the focus changed), being a member of a non-Nazi party was a death penalty, or re-education if you were lucky.
