Like I said, check task manager to see what it says. If it shows all 6 there then you are fine and Windows is just stupid.

did you put the RAM in another machine and see if it works???? see if a linux live cd picks up the 6GB RAM

Cursing my crappy internet. Been trying to download the latest episode of Doctor Who for about 2 and a half hours now. Keeps cutting out every ten minutes for a couple of minutes, and going about a third the speed it should.
