You've got a 1 in 23 chance of getting your money back, i.e. not *losing* anything. Those are pretty high odds already, meaning you're already more likely to lose money than gain it.
To win the MASSIVE sum of £40 you've got 1 in 11,771 odds. That's HUGE odds for a tiny sum of money. My brain literally cannot comprehend what people who buy lottery tickets are thinking...
