I was thinking about where video games are going now for consoles and I thought it would be a good idea to bring back the cartridges from the older consoles.

Why?

-They load faster
-They don't have to be a fixed size like blu-ray disks and DVD do, some can be 20GB others 60GB etc.
-Harder to pirate
-They don't get damaged as easily as optical media.

IMO it seems like cartridges would be way better the optical disks.
 
Cartridges relied on basic hardware wasn't common to secure them, I lost count the amount of times I spent my pocket money on a copied mega drive game down in china town.
