I just read a write up about the cell processor used in the PS3, and that the CPU isn't nearly as powerful as Sony says it is. It compares the 360's CPU to the Cell CPU, and when it comes to gaming they are almost equal.

The cell architecture has a ton of potential, however it is very hard to program for and the particular one in the PS3 can be crushed by most modern desktop cpus.

I have to wait either until April when I head back to the states or maybe I will plan a vacation to Miami

Does anyone know how FPS work with eyefinity? I mean, would it better to get 2x 5870's with 3 monitors?

From what I understand it is at the driver level so most games will stretch to it without major issue. The only problem is, if the games don't handle ultra wide aspect ratios then your image will be very distorted.

um i hope you know this, but you need one of the three monitors to have displayport....otherwise you cant do tri monitors with eyefinity.

^nope, one of them has to be native displayport. The other two can be both dvi, or one hdmi, one dvi.
