^ you running win 7? just the other day i got a black background too, but i can set a wallpaper but when i re start it still goes back to the black screen until i change it.
 
I haven't gamed with it yet, just got it started folding (my main aim, anyway). Not really a difference so far.

Yo, Vern, PM your current address so I can send this 3850 along. I haven't heard anything from my cousin as far as wanting to buy it.
 
gosh i'm so ****ed :| i planned for like 2 weeks now to see the midnight release of saw 6..but it turns out that the ONLY 2 theatres within 100 miles not doing a midnight release are the 2 within walking distance of me :|
