His family made a public appeal on the Mediabistro.com site. LaFontaine died September 1, 2008 following complications from pneumothorax.

Too bad he didn't have any sons that could take over. I'm thinking they'll just find a guy that sounds identical to him so that no one notices. Trailers will never be the same though.
