Well, after a talk with some people, and after reading your replies, I've realized that a lot of what caused the panic attack / stress is just the first-time experience of doing work where my higher ups are not meeting me face-to-face.
Panic attacks are not new, but what made it worse for me is when people don't give me a little breathing room, and I have to find an opportunity to leave to get it back under control.
I've learned from it, and so I guess it wasn't so bad.
