With all the 56k warnings being posted in every thread that contains lots of pictures, I decided I would make a thread with a poll so that we can find out just how many of us users really do still have 56k connections.

I wasn't sure if this had been done before, but either way it's time for an update!

I have Comcast's "POWER BOOST!!!" option. It's supposed to get me burst of up to 16mb/s, but lately I've had anywhere from 21 to 25.

Yeah I've never understood Comcast. They advertise so many weird things like power boost, but it really just depends on your area you live. If you live in a big city where their network is up-to-date you can get 17-20mb or higher from the standard package price. At least that's what mine was until I switched to FiOS for the better upload speeds and stuff.

I was getting to the point where i was in the 40s but now they put a cap on my at 15

I can get 70 kbps on a good day, but I just tested it and I got 66 kbps down with 2000 kbps up.

I would be really surprised if more than a handful of users of T F were on dial-up still.
