I saw this a few places. The consensus is that everyone that was able to unlock the 4th core reports that the chip just isn't stable.

Although neat for a tweaker, just isn't worth it.

That's not very old lol. I had not heard about it. Interesting, but not very practical.

This is on extremesystems.... Acording to them quiet a few people get a core that isn't stable, and some get a 4th core that is stable... But this does require a certain chipset combo and a certain BIOS version to unlock the core.
