It's highly illegal in any case, counts as child pornography in the US no matter who's behind the camera or if anyone saw the film or not. Laws like this are usually pretty standard across the globe so I don't think its any different. Best thing to do is get her parents involved. They probably won't be happy their daughter is doing sexual stuff at such a young age but it needs to be dealt with. Guy sounds like a creep...

This is a very sensitive situation.

My friend is dating a girl, this girl had a previous boyfriend. Her ex boyfriend now hates her, alot. He is a very evil person, he decided, to get back at her, to upload a video of her doing sexually explicit things onto youtube, which has now, thankfully, been removed. Why he had that video, what it was of, and why she did it is not of my concern and i do not wish to have anyone's opinions on that matter, but this girl is just 15 years old. And her boyfriend does not want her ex to get away with this and wish's to ring the police.

What i want answering is, is what he's done actually illegal, publicly sharing, without permission, very explicit video's of an under 18 ? (he himself is also 15).

If your not going to answer maturely, just don't answer - as i said, what there up to is up to them, so i don't want opinions on anything other than the question in hand.

Can we spell "child porn"?

Like you could get him into a lot of trouble for having that one his mobile phone / computer / whatever. However I am not sure if the girl you are currently dating is going to be out of the firing line of the police (or at least getting invigated by the police).

As much as I would like to say "Dob this guy to the police!!", I do question the legal fall out that this might have on the girl.

My advise would be this. If your country has some form of free legal advise service, i would be talking to them about this matter. And when i am talking Free Legal Advices, i do not mean approaching the police with a "hypothetical situation". Especially in this day and age where the legal process involving CP seems to shoot first, then ask questions.

So what you are saying is this. I am not having a shot at you, I just want some clearification.

If both guy and girl are both under the age of 18 and are having sex. Lets say that the guy flip out his mobile phone and starts getting photos/video of both parties having sex, the guy can be up for on charges for being in the possession of child pornography.

Another example is this (And i am sure that this happens from time to time). Farther owns a computer and has a teenage daughter that just discovered boys. She desides the use her father's computer to upload or email nude pictures of herself to a boyfriend. She most likely smart enough and not sured the locally based MS Outlook Express Account, but she has used a Hotmail account instead. By doing this, this means that some one where on this father's computer, it means that there these photos will be stored in the internet cache.
Does this mean that the father is up on characters for possession of child pornography too? Even though these pics where used by her daughter to send to her freinds.

And here's another example which could just happen to me. I'm a computer tech. I need to back up people hard drives using norton's ghost. They may happen to have CP on thier hard drive. However now this data is on my service machine. I normally keep these drive images on this computer for about a weeks before deleted them.
Then lets say the police comes along for some reasn and investigate my computer that i used for this service work. Does that mean that I am up on charges too. Yes, I am getting very parranoid right now as I normally don't look into the affairs on what is actually on my clients computers when I am backing up thier data.

Well her being 16, I would report it to the police, and try to contact youtube, or which ever site it was on, and let them know this, so that action can be taken.

However tell her before going to the police. Because you know that the police will be knocking at her door too. Actually it would be best if she reported it to the police. After all, she is the one that is directly affected by this.

Even though it the right thing to do, some people don't like it when some one else does it for them with out thier knowledge. Especially women.

While we are still on the subject
Teens send nude pics to one other, face kiddie porn charges

There are a number of reasons to think twice (or three times, or four times, or fifty times) before sending a nude photo of yourself to someone electronically. But, if you're under the age of 18, there's at least one big, glaring, serious reason: you and the recipient could be charged with trafficking child pornography. If you think this sounds crazy, it is exactly what happened in Greensburg, Pennsylvania after two teenage girls send nude photos to some teenage boys.

Two girls from Greensburg, who police say are "14 or 15" years old, allegedly sent nude photos to two boys who are slightly older than them (16 or 17) using their cell phones. The photos were discovered in October after one of the youngsters was caught using a cell phone during school hours—a violation of school rules—and had the phone taken away. The photos were discovered at that time—I didn't know teachers could go snooping through your cell phone, either—and turned over to police.

"It was a self portrait taken of a juvenile female taking pictures of her body, nude," Greensburg Police Department captain George Seranko told WPXI News. "Taking nude pictures of yourself, nothing good can come out of it."

This might seem like a one-off story, but last month, the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy released survey results that said 20 percent of all teens have sent a nude photo of themselves to someone else electronically. More than two thirds of those who have sent photos claim they sent them to a boyfriend or girlfriend, but 15 percent say they have sent them to people they only "know" from the Internet. And they're not staying private, either—a quarter of teen girls and a third of teen boys said that they've had nude images originally meant for someone else shared with them.

Though the discovery was made several months ago, the Greensburg Police Department apparently decided to arrest and charge the teenagers this week. According to the police, the two girls are being charged with manufacturing, disseminating, or possessing child pornography, while the two boys are being charged with possession of child porn.

We'll have to wait and see whether anything actually comes of this case—like cases involving underage sex and statutory rape, there's a huge and inconsistent gray area when it comes to teens dealing with other teens. One thing's for sure, though; the students at the kids' high school will probably be scared straight about sending nude photos to each other—at least until the end of the school year.

Oh please........... some one shoot me. I am really getting sick and tired of this "Think About The Children" BS.

if he gets child pornography, he will go to jail. a few years ago (ive grown up and im not a ******* anymore) i got arrested and went to juvie for selling porn to minors (i was 14 and so were they, and not child porn)

so if its child porn ontop of that, then yes he will go to jail. child porns no joke, thats really bad. but, is her bf mad enough to ruin this guys life? becuase with that on your record that will mess up the rest of his life. he wont get jobs, all kinds of stuff. he probabbly wasent thinking the reporcussions of doing it or he wouldent have (atleast if i knew i would have gone to jail i wouldent have sold it myself)

Either way I look at it, porn is porn, if your 15, and looking at your g/f that is 15, then fine, but posting and taking pics and such... ehh yea...

I find it funny that Youtube would allow child porn through their screening process but wont allow my Tropic Thunder mini clip....
