i don't know if it will work but there can't be much harm in trying now can there. personally i'd do all i can with thermaltake seeing as it was apparently a flaw with their product that caused the damage whereas Leadtek have no fault in this situation.
i should point out that you shouldn't really use rubbing alcohol on computer components though, it can cause problems. i doubt it caused this but it can cause problems nonetheless. if in doubt high purity isopropyl won't fail you.
