That is exactly the issue... you just think it sounds better. It really doesn't. Its all distortion/EQ.

I agree with IfYouHaveToAsk, if you think it sounds better, then doesn't that mean it sounds better? So if what you say is right, then something that you think doesn't sound better, really might sound better.

Do you see how stupid that sounds?

My point: if you think it sounds better, it sounds better! Why? Because how good something sounds is up the person, so if you think it's better then it's better. Maybe to another person it doesn't, but it's different from person to person.
