Shouldn't the government get rid of cars and make people drive hovercrafts?

Hovercrafts are alot more safer and if you get in an accident it won't hurt as bad as it does when your driving a car!!!

The only thing we would need would be trucks to transport goods and things but the government can leave some highways open for them!!!

Can I have some of what ever it is that you are smoking?

This thread is a waste of bandwidth!

Thats what I mean If you crash into another persons hovercraft they won't get killed or anything like that.

If you crashed into another person's hovercraft, the force of the wiplash would kill you.

In a hovercraft, the slightest impacts are enough to knock you off your feet. Its because the hovercraft bounces off of everything it hits, so the g-force effect is even greater in an impact. Its sort of a slingshot effect:confused:

Its nice that you're attempting to think of better modes of transportation... but cars will roam the earth way long after the current generation is gone.

yea, people would get hurt ALOT more in hovercrafts than they would in cars. Since cars have traction on the road, they tend to 'stick' more when they crash, so crumple zones have been designed to allow less of a drastic g-force upon impact. With 'hovercrafts' they will bounce off of each other so forcefully in a crash that the g-forces will be MUCH larger than those experienced in a car crash.

In addition, they require ALOT more fuel to run, as you can't just take your foot of the gas and coast, you constantly have to be providing enough force to actually lift a multi-ton vehicle off the ground.

You suck at ideas ;-)
