That's pretty cool. I hope you didn't buy it just because of 1080p...

Samsung is a really good brand of TV for quality and reliability (from what I have seen, and I see a decent amount of TVs).

not just because of 1080p... the picture accuracy is absolutely 100% breath taking. Plus, its big, pretty, and sexy.

i also have a Samsung 43" with DLP, 1080p, and DNIe, and it came with a free samsung HD-DVD player. which, when we got it, was worth more than $500. pretty sweet deal.

Not sure but there allready selling Blu Ray DVD's... So I am sure some newer players will support Blu Ray along with normal DVDs??

I thought DLP doesn't have good image quality, with faded looking colours? Still for teh price. You are barely breaking the 42" mark for a good screen in the UK.

that was one of the best TV's IMO(the one you bought....) until we got to open this baby for a display model at work.. but that is still a very nice set you got.
