Network Shutdown?

I had my friend over at my house the other day, and we were laning, well anyway we were talking about controlling other pcs on a LAN. So at some point in this he pulls out his jump drive, puts it in a pc, opens up some DOS program (i think), executes it, and all the computers on the LAN shutdown.

I was a little mad about this at first, but it was a pretty cool trick. I cant get in touch with the guy right now cause he just moved, and doesnt have internet right now. Does anyone know where I could get a program like this just to play with?

Their is no program that will shut off ALL computers on a LAN.

Their are ways how you can shutdown computers, but this requires some level of remote access.

Probably used Net Send in Windows, but SP2 turns it off.

were all your pcs up to date with the latest patches? he could have been exploiting unpatched systems.

or you can just find a switch/hub/router take some cat 5 and loop it back into the network... It will make it unbearably slow over time

This works on most stuff This is really damned fun.
