My Switch to LCD

I Just got a 19" Philips 190B6C7 Monitor. It is 8ms and is GREAT!!!. Not only it is large it is very clear and bright. It has a usb port on the side and has speakers (but i dont use them). I can run on DVI and VGA and currently im using in on VGA. I suggest anyone thinking about getting an LCD to get one.

If you cant afford one w/ great timing then it sux for gaming.

yeah, but its worth it if you do get one thats like 12ms or faster.

I played Doom3 on a 12 and it wasnt that great, still some ghosting.

Hm I have a big box for a moniter yet. Are these LCD ones more power conservant?

I have an old Sony Trinitron because my Samsung 997 DF has funked out on me.

I wish I could get the money to buy a new monitor...but I can't

And there are two really annoying black lines across the screen

yea, CRT's suck a lot of power...but the difference isn't much to save you a couple of dollars on electric bill or anything

btw, i play on 12ms and it's fine

I play on a 8ms unit and its fine, but the specs mean very little, check benchmarks...

yeah LCD's consume around 40 watts, CRT's consume 60 - 80 watts.
