its back for round two, different room, more power...

I got my system, 2 monitors, a tv, dish receiver, dvd player, my router, and my stereo running in my room, and i just want to make sure of something. My stereo has always been on the same power strip as my pc, but I like to turn it up to 0 all the time, (bad arse bass response) but my problem is, in every room of the house, any outlet, any light, when my bass hits, it makes the **** lights dim (this is a house in usa, 120vac). its very noticable in my kitchen, but my concern, what havoc would this create for my pc? I have already put it(stereo) on its own outlet thats on a different circut thats on the other side of my room (which sucks too because i got wires running all acrost my floor to my pc and my closet and bed(where my subs are, running 7.2)

would a surge protector be sufficent protection, or should I go as far as getting a UPS? moneys tight, and im trying to prevent my system from dying.

A surge protector isn't gonna do anything when the voltage drops

I have no idea how bad that is for your computer, though.
