I have OpenOffice.org Writer and MS Word 2003, and I use OO predominantly.

I have a large .doc file, approximately 60 some pages long. Throughout the report, I have a few pages that serve as title pages, and what I do with them is just press enter up until it reaches the 4.5" mark of the page (measured vertically), type whatever I have to, then enter all the way to a new page to write whatever I have to.

When I do it on MS Word, it's fine. The pages are aligned, and everything is ok.

However, when I open it in OO, part of page #2 shows on page #1 (title page) (same page as the title page).

Here's the picture: http://snaphat.com/~pratik/pic.bmp

As you can see, on the left page, it's just supposed to be the title in the middle. However, the text in the bottom IS NOT supposed to be on that page... and it's NOT THERE when you open it with MS Word, but it is there when you open with OO. When you open it in MS Word, it stays on the right side.

Why is there a difference and how can I fix it?

I hope I explained this clearly, it's kind of hard to explain :p

instead of hitting enter all the way to the bottom, i know in MS word you can hit ctrl + enter to move to a new page, that MIGHT have something to do with it.
