Moped/Super pocket bike question

Lol well I need a way to get to and from school for two years, and I thought it'd be a lot cheaper and more efficient to get a moped, but I have a few questions.
1. To ride in the bicycle lane, you don't need insurance, correct?
2. Do you need a Class M to drive the Moped in a bicycle lane?

YOU CANT DRIVE IN THE BICYLCE LANE! IT CLEARLY SAYS "NO MOTORIZES VEHICLES NEUB!" otherwise to drive on the street I would say do it! the only thing they can do is ticket you! dont put a lot of money into the bike! the impound fee is $90 I think and you can probly even hop the fence and get it back once they impound it

seriously. I ride mine all over town without any insurance, or a helmet. And my little pocketrocket goes like 35-40mph. I had a cop stop me once, he didnt care about not having any insurance or inspection tags, he was like "wheres your helmet"....

I think your ok.... Well i THINK. I dont know how they do things in California.

Also if you wanted to you can outrun the cops pretty easily on those, like by picking it up and going over medians and stuff like that, you can beat that cop in a pursuit, but remember, goodluck beating his radio.
