shawn gonzalez: k...well, the printer has always been hooked up to a windows 95 computer until yesterday when i hooked it up to his new one.

shawn gonzalez: So...i hook it up using the parallel cable he had, and it wasn't working.. so i downloaded the XP drivers for the printer instead of the old ones and then tried installing them.
shawn gonzalez: so then i figured well, maybe i didn't install the serial port drivers when i built it a few months ago...so i downloaded those as well and installed them... but im still getting the same problem.
shawn gonzalez: and i just checked on the site.. and it said this:
shawn gonzalez: IEEE 1284 compliant bidirectional parallel, USB (Windows 98 only)
shawn gonzalez: now...if this 400$ printer doesn't work on xp, im going to get **** for it.
