5) In an arithmetic sequence, the 11th term is 53, and the sum of the 5th and 7th term is 56. Find the sequence.

So far this is all I have.

t11=53
t5 + t7 = 56

Hehe. Anyone help me out? Chankama this is where you shine.

EDIT: By sequence they mean tn=a + (n-1)d but if you just gimme t5 or t7 that'd be great.

lol :)

See if this helps :)..

(a+4d) + (a+6d) = 56
2a + 10d = 56 (1)

a+10d = 53 (2)

(1) - (2) = a = 3
Sub in (1), d = 5

(a, d) = (3, 5)

:)
