Uh, open up your trashcan, take the cd out, and toss it into there :wooha: Amazing, who invented trash cans to throw stuff you don't need away, he was that crazy !!

Uhh, Red Hat 9 is totally free, and about 5 years old.

Can you give me a link that proves that? The only thing I can find on Red Hat is a pay version. I did see where they have a Fedora distrobution that is free.

Double corrected, im just gonna DL a good version (any recomendations?) and prolly give this one away or hang it on my wall. Want it?

Hey P.P,

Yeah definitely ditch the RH, I have RH8 that was given to me but if I were you I'd just throw it out.

Anyway as for Linux reccomendations, you should probably take a look at this Link

http://www.zegeniestudios.net/ldc/

this is the Linux distro Choser, it askes you a series of questions and based on the answers comes up with a Linux distro suited for you.

Now for a few personal Reccomenations:

Kubuntu
http://www.kubuntu.org/

Mandriva
http://frontal2.mandriva.com/en/downloads/mirrors

PCLinuxOS
http://www.pclinuxonline.com/pclos/html/download.html

Mephis
http://www.mepis.org/

PCLinuxOS is the distro I use and recommend, Why because it works right out of the box. No need to configure Everything, everything just works. It also comes as a 1 CD install that is a live CD that you can install later if you wish. Memphis also works on this philosopy but is not as polished as PCLinuxOS.

Hope this Helps,

Jake
