well,...its unknown territory,..thats why i don't like it....altho someday i'd like to try it out and probably trash windows...thts why im asking for a good distro...anyway,..what would probably be the best distro for linux noobs...
Mandrake 9.1. Intalls better then Windows and if using the KDE or Gnome gui, easy as hell to run. Just check a few sites for "Linux for new users" to get an idea about permissions and how the file system works.

As for Linux, I like it. I'm still new to it, but I like it. I'm a big fan of SuSE 8.2. But I also like Mandrake 9.1. I'm not really sure which I perfer more. SuSE is just VERY easy to use, install, everything. But you have to pay for it
