Left handed guitar

hello all,

Well Iv finally decided to learn to play the guitar Iv just bought a cheap left handed one, I have heard many people say I should have got a right handed guitar as my strong hand would be on the fret work. Did I make the wrong decision?

Also is learning the guitar left handed going to be more tricky as most resources are for right hand people.

i had a gf when i was 17 who was left handed and played the guitar. she taught me a bit and i didnt find it that hard tbh.

Well I could always try to learn to play right and left handed...it would be more beneficial when I want to join a band and being able to play right handed equipment.
