What's a safe way of cleaning laptop screens? I have a fit spit-marks. Thanks

I just bought a pack of CD/DVD/LCD cleaning wipes at Office Depot.

They work great.

I find that using a lint free cloth with distilled water works best and is safest. Some people say alcohol cleaners are ok, but in the A+ book I read it mentioned several times to never use one on an LCD screen sicne it wore away the film or something. Go with water, its safe.

DO NOT USE WINDEX!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sell a lot of new TFT to people because of that mistake.

How does it harm them?

I clean my screen yearly, last time I stole some apple screen cleaners from an apple fanboy / fangirl.

Distilled water and a lint-free cloth is a good method. Monster Cleaner is what we use at my work. It's kinda spendy but it lasts a while and makes laptops/lcds/tv screens all look great.

DJ-Chris - Windex will eat away at the film of the LCD screen.
What he said.

I get a few phone called about replacement LCD screens because of that mistake.

Laser Co. has a LASER LCD SCREEN CLEANING KIT #AO-LCDK. It includes a Cleaning solution, micro fibre coth, dusting brush and carrier pouch.
