Kirk. Not saying I dislike Picard...but you can't beat the original unless the original sucked. :p

OK, I just finished watching Star Trek: Generations, and I'd have to say Kirk because on 2 occasions, he took one for the team-

1. he died in the the deflector array on the enterprise B to get them away from the nexus ribon which ended up hitting one of the sections he was in.

2. He died again when he uncloaked the rocket used by Sorron (sp?) on the bridge that broke off.

Picard gave himself to the klingons for the return of LaForge.

oh well, I still can't decide.

This is a toughie :(.. For me, it's a tie - as I mentioned in the other thread.. :(

Kirk is Kirk and Picard is Picard. Both of them are miles ahead of any of the other "Captains" or "Commanders"..

Picard all the way:D Although Capt Picard wasn't, Patrick Stewart voiced Uriel Septim in Oblivion, so that gets a +1 in my books:D

i'll tell you my least favourite captain.. if he is a captain..

the black guy from DS9.. i forget his name.. but i always feel like he over-acts. the way he moves his head and upper body when he speaks.. it just annoys me...

Any dude that is assimilated, and then makes it out has my vote.

Kirk is emotional and rash. Picard is emotional and exacting.

kirk is a space cowboy. Picard personifies the Prime Directive.
