Unless you where trying to hack into the some goverment thing, there is not much they can do.

I have had one of my freinds have a screen with our local police logo show up saying that "YOUR IP ADDRESS HAS BEEN REPORTED TO THE POLICE".

Then again, I have seen what is on his hard drive, and i just love it how he "downloaded it by accident." And I refuse to even touch is computer because of that.


I did have a freind that got his internet cut off as "THERE WAS A COMPLAIN TO THE COPYWRIGHT COUNCIL ABOUT HIS IP ADDRESS".

Yeah right! Hustler Bairly Legal and what was on his hard drive had a very big age difference.

Thankfully I have severed my ties with this guy a long time ago. (1999)

Yeah, stuff like that's been written on my screen before a few times. What freaked me out though, last time, a few hours after I saw that my net connection crashed for like a day and a half. I'm here thinking "Oh shit"

if he did somehow have the same IP address as someone else, it's likely his computer would crash anyway (or at least IE would)
