What are your guys view on the ice pan hunting of seals off the coast of atlantic Canadian provinces like Newfoundland and PEI? Just curious, me being a Newfoundlander and all.

I dont have anything agaists it really, as long as they are being hunted at a sustainable rate. Not like the japs and the killing of whales.

wow. that's the most unintelligent statement i've read in a few days on TF. But, then again this is TF.

I believe hunting falls into two categories.

1.) Hunting for Food (Fine to me as long as most of the animal isn't wasted)

2.) Hunting for Sport (Completely wrong and totally wasteful)

I believe if a certain specie is becoming over populated and threatening the existence of other species, then humans should have the ability to control it's population. BTW, what exactly are those seal hunted for?

I love to go clubbin seals on a sunday afternoon. Does it make me inhumane?
