so i had a motorolla modem that i used for about 2 years before moving to new appartment. didnt get charged for it. my roommate gave it to me, he had the box and everything that came with it
when i moved i tossed the box.
i move to new appartment and set up the internets and allovasudden comcast owns my modem.
i was like WTF.
so i asked my roommate to send me the receipt for the modem he bought and he did.
turns out the mac id doesnt mach...
and the one that im supposed to have is not beeing active in comcast system according to a rep.
now i know for sure 200% that i took the modem i had and brought it with me to new appartment and gave it to the tech guy that was installing it.
the only possible option is that they swiped my modem and junked it so they can slap a rental fee for their own modem... these local comcast guys are shady sometimes..
can anyone check for this mac id from the modem im supposed to have... mac id: 0014e8b3a33a
