There are 10 kinds of people in the world. People who understand binary and those who don't.

i thought there were 3 kinds...

Those who can count in trinary, those that don't, and those that confuse it with binary :p

wait does anyone know that xecrypt algorithm...... i rememeber something along the lines of you add the digits of the 3 numbers and get the most common as the key you use to divide all the numbers by it or something........ so for example "Tom" would translate to .0.28.56.44.64.3.12.57.40, where three sets of numbers are one character... then you put a password on the encryption as Tom, and it translates to .128.148.112.128.114.173.144.152.117..... i put an example on my page - www.voldabyte.com/xecrypt.doc for anyone who cares since it seems this is the way the thread is going :p

lol it IS relatively simple math :p..

Pick a two digit #:
10a+b, 0 <= a <= 9, 0 <= b <= 9 - everyone see that?

Add the two #'s together:
a+b

Substract the 2nd from the 1st:
10a+b - (a+b) = 9a

Remember that 0 <= a <= 9. Therefore, make every multiple of 9 (from 0 to 81) have the same symbol, and the magic ball is always right.

:)
