They put a guy in a room and stuck him with a pin. They calculated the time from stick to reaction. Then they simultaneously stuck him with 10 pins and measured the time to reaction(s). After achieving this baseline, they continued to add pins until they got to 100 bits/second with 10tB of puncture wounds memory. At that time, the subject crashed......permanent fatal error.
