How many passwords can there be???

somebody asked me this question the other day and im pretty bad with permutations and combinations...I wanted to know how many possible case-sensitive passwords(A-Z a-z 0-9) are there of length 6 characters .

Could anyone help me with this and let me know how u go about with the calculation.

There are 56,800,235,584 different possible combinations.

This was my method: There are 26 capital letters, 26 lower case letters, and 10 numbers. Total is 62. You answer is 62*62*62*62*62*62 or 62^6.
