Anyways, the "difficulty" in being a programmer depends on what you do for sure. And how much responsibility you have. Traditionally, more skill/knowledge is required to program in lower level languages like assembly and C/C++ than lets say Visual Basic or Java. Some people call HTML "programming", even though I don't agree with that.
But, the language is not the only determining factor. The system that needs to be designed is probably the biggest factor - even though some people might say this is strictly not a "programmer's" problem. And the amount of time you have, etc.
