let's see, light travels at 3 x 10^8 metres per second, or 300000000 metres per second.

1 lightyear is how far light travels in a year.

365 x 24 x 60 x 60 = 26280000 seconds in one year

26280000 * 300000000 = 7884000000000000 m in one lightyear

7884000000000000 * 100 * 10 = 7884000000000000000 millimetres in 1 lightyear, or 7884 x 10^15

did you know a computer cannot multiply or subtract numbers?
they can only add.
if you want it to multiply a number, say 6 x 7, it actually does 6 + 6 + 6 + 6 + 6 + 6 + 6 = 42
and it doesn't subtract, it adds negative numbers. when you tell it to subtract a number, it finds the negative of that number and it adds that to the first number
