Hooking up Zen Touch to Eclipse Deck

Hello,
Well... I am trying to hook up my Creative Labs Zen Touch mp3 player to my Eclipse deck I have in my car... so I bought a y cable(male stereo jack to go into the mp3 player and then a red and white rca hook ups on the other end to the eclipse deck) so anyways... I hook the end that goes into my head unit up, to the 2 wires that are labled "line in/out" and I got it to work but it only comes in through my front speakers... so then i tried to put it into the wires labled "rear" and then it came through my 6X9's in the back, but that was it... see my point is I have a system in my car with subs and stuff, how do I get it work so that it comes through all of the speakers?

jeez why go thru all that wiring
why dont u just get like a fm transmitter or something

for 1, it only cost me $8 for the cord, 2, i don't think it will sound as good going through a transmitter rather than if it was wired
