Its such a common story for kids to go off to college and experience high speed, then have to go home and use their parents' dial-up. When will the older generation ever learn the importance of highspeed.
man, i feel sorry, when i had dial up, it took like 15 mins to get a good porn clip, but now, i can get all the porn i want in under a second. so get lots of porn movies, if you got that i don't see why else you'd want the internet

I agree, it's happened to so many. Too bad I live in the "rural" area of the state. Back in 2004 sprint made DSL available to the residents of the biggest town in the county. Fortunately I lived in the "biggest" town (~350 ppl) and convinced my parents to get DSL so we had slowish DSL for a few months. But then in 2005 we moved to an even less-populated area where dialup rules. So living here (college) for a year has been cool. (there are more ppl in my dorm than probably in the whole community where I live).
i still cant believe people are using dial-up. It ends up being so expensive, because you have to buy minutes like a cellphone. Also its painfully slow and outdated....But i guess it saves some people money...
