"Helvetica" is a feature-length independent film about typography, graphic design and global visual culture. It looks at the proliferation of one typeface (which is celebrating its 50th birthday this year) as part of a larger conversation about the way type affects our lives.

This is a great film about a typeface that we see everyday but probably don't know what it is.

Watch it here: Helvetica

Welcome to the Internet where double posting and bashing is the "it" thing to do. Dude, did you even watch the video? Oh sure, why not just wake up everyday, scratch my ***, and go online just to find things to troll on. Sure, it's not "Cloverfield", and it's definitely not a Mac, but it is really necessary to make such a rude comment? Do you feel an urge to just find threads on T.F. to make a useless comment. People these days.

No but i will be watching it, and i wasn't bashing it I was posting what crossed my mind when i saw the subject matter of the post. And the double post was by accident.

Well, let's see. I haven't watched "Cloverfield" yet, but I'll just casually make a dumb comment. Oh sure, since people get sick from "Cloverfield", it must be ****. What the ****?!?!?! How can you talk about something without going over it? Font? Boring!!! Microsoft? Down with the monopoly! Gas? Too expensive! Internet? Definitely not a place for a documentary of Fonts! The internet is for videos, entertainment, porn, etc. isn't it? How can you generalize something like that?

typography is a HUGE deal. you don't realize it but it's a very complicated and vital part of anything and everything print (and online too..although it's rarely used well online) from newspapers to magazines to advertising to legal documentation, etc, etc.
